Dr. William Knudson

Dr. William Knudson is a podiatrist based in Leesburg, Virginia. He is a 1995 honors graduate of Chicago’s William Scholl School of Podiatric Medicine. With nearly two decades of experience in private practice, Dr. William Knudson has proven his skill and dedication in the field of podiatry time and again.

From 1996 to 1997, Dr. William Knudson served as chief resident at Hillcrest Health Center in Oklahoma City. During this time, he completed advanced certifications in lower extremity wound care and foot and ankle arthroscopy. Dr. William Knudson has additionally completed specialized studies in surgical reconstruction and other podiatric specialties.

Lauded for his advanced skills in the areas of sports medicine, pediatric podiatry, trauma, and diabetic foot care, Dr. William Knudson is respected by patients and colleagues alike for his mastery of all areas of podiatric medicine.

An innate love of teaching led Dr. William Knudson to accept a position as a faculty member in the Podiatric Residency Program at Northern Virginia’s Inova Fairfax Hospital. In this role, Dr. William Knudson has leveraged his experience as a resident, private practice physician, and educator to inspire the next generation of podiatric professionals.

Dr. William Knudson is an expert in all areas of foot and ankle care and treats bunions, heel pain, corns and calluses, Morton’s Neuroma, hammertoe, plantar warts, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, and diabetes complications. He believes the feet are one of the most important – if un-respected – parts of the body. In his practice, Dr. William Knudson focuses heavily on preemptive care and believes that prevention is the best medicine.

Dr. William Knudson sees patients at Podiatric Care of Northern Virginia and is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. In addition to his office practice, Dr. William Knudson offer surgical procedures as an affiliate of the Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center and Inova Loudoun Hospital.

A dedicated husband and father, Dr. William Knudson works with his wife Sarah, who serves as office manager at Podiatric Care of Northern Virginia. The couple have been married for nearly two decades and have two children. Dr. Knudson is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing and sharing his love for the outdoors with his family. Dr. Knudson has dedicated his life to his faith, his family, his profession and his patients. Dr. William Knudson is a caring and compassionate professional who considers himself blessed to be able to do what he loves to do.

Dr. David Lee Chan

Dr. David Lee Chan is an ankle and foot doctor based out of Leesburg, Virginia. He is a native New Yorker but relocated to Northern Virginia for college at George Mason University, where he graduated magna cum laude. After school, he participated in the flagship NIH study on brain research involving the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of U. Penn. It was there he developed a passion for medicine and decided to pursue a career in podiatry. In 2014, he returned to school and completed his medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in downtown Philadelphia.

After graduating medical school, Dr. Chan continued his education with a three-year surgical residency at East Liverpool City Hospital, in East Liverpool, Ohio. It was there he honed his skills in the latest techniques in foot and ankle surgery, including foot reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage and trauma. He also has a particular interest in treating bunions, heel pain, sports injuries, and pediatrics.

In his spare time, Dr. Chan enjoys gastronomy, swimming, and tennis. He was a varsity tennis player in high school and was lucky to be a ball boy at the US Open his senior year in high school. He has also devoted many years to martial arts and holds a blackbelt in Kokushi-Ryu Jujutsu. Dr. Chan is proud to be serving the Northern Virginia community and would love the opportunity to earn your trust as your foot and ankle doctor.
