Dr. David Lee Chan
Dr. David Lee Chan is an ankle and foot doctor based out of Leesburg, Virginia. He is a native New Yorker but relocated to Northern Virginia for college at George Mason University, where he graduated magna cum laude. After school, he participated in the flagship NIH study on brain research involving the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of U. Penn.
It was there he developed a passion for medicine and decided to pursue a career in podiatry. In 2014, he returned to school and completed his medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in downtown Philadelphia.
After graduating medical school, Dr. Chan continued his education with a three-year surgical residency at East Liverpool City Hospital, in East Liverpool, Ohio. It was there he honed his skills in the latest techniques in foot and ankle surgery, including foot reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage and trauma. He also has a particular interest in treating bunions, heel pain, sports injuries, and pediatrics.
In his spare time, Dr. Chan enjoys gastronomy, swimming, and tennis. He was a varsity tennis player in high school and was lucky to be a ball boy at the US Open his senior year in high school. He has also devoted many years to martial arts and holds a blackbelt in Kokushi-Ryu Jujutsu.
